Yes - in the simplest form - you hunt for intrusive style ultramafic Ni-S systems at the edges of Archean cratons. Cause the magma coming up from the core (yes that far down) can't go through the Archean basement but instead looks for the easiest path - sometimes up an old fault system - usually around the edges of the craton.
Examples - Julimar - western edge of the Yilgarn Craton
Kabanga western edge of the tanzanian craton
Ntaka Hill southeastern edge of the tanzanian craton
Savanah SE edge of Kimberly craton (which is mostly covered by proterozoic sediments).
