I honestly dont think that Li-ion will be the battery technology of the future for vehicles. Something else will come along (and will have to come along) because of the absurdities inherent with the technology.

The horror stories in the media abound because its so common.

Consider this:

Li-ion is awesome for things like power tools and smart phones. The moment you start talking about powering a land cruiser or a silverado with them they are scary.
