Hi Richard, as far as I can tell it would be a world first if we can sell 0.8 percent Li2O as DSO. Have a look at the grade tonnage chart below (courtesy of Firefinch Li spin-off Leo Lithium). Notice how all deposits have grades higher than 1.0 percent Li2O. The grade axis (vertical) starts at 0.8 percent. In my humble opinion, if the Chinese were willing to buy dso grading 0.8 percent they would have done it by now. As an aside, iron ore is typically sold as dso with crushing and screening being the only requirement. Iron grades for dso need to be 60 percent with tight controls on impurities like alumina and phosphorous. If we try and compare the dso that Core Lithium are exporting at 1.4 percent Li2O with 60 percent iron dso, then the Faraday "high grade" core of 0.87 percent (0.8 percent with 7.5 percent dilution) is equivalent to 32 percent iron grade which would go to the low grade stock pile or the waste dump in the Pilbara.
