Correct me if I'm wrong, but do you mean by 'a quick sale' as separate sale for the Au that is co-located with the Li, extracted by the mine owner but not processed by them, but sold on to an Au operator in the area.
I would have thought Au here is a subsidiary metal, that increases the value of the Li mining to anyone thinking of doing a takeover or valuing the future mine . To the owners of the mine it can help with costs of the rest of the Li mine and extraction to sell the ore to an Au operator in the area who can do the processing.
