My concern here is that Uranium mining has become weaponised (again) in politics.
There is no doubt Albo's move on Jabiluka is tied to Dutton's Nuclear policy.
Dutton calling for the WA ban removal is a double-edged sword, as it brings more political attention to it.
If Libs win the WA state election, for sure, the ban is gone faster than free cake at a fat camp.
But IMO we now have almost zero hope of Labor removing it, its politically untenable for them to do that.
I suspect that if WA remained under Labor and Dutton won at the Federal level, Labor WA still wouldn't remove the ban.
Prior to Dutton's Nuclear policy, it was quite reasonable to think Labor WA might have removed the ban.
Not anymore.
The odds of the ban removal have been reduced, its more of a binary outcome now IMO.
