So how do you get mass unemployment? NIckel - already getting mass unemployment. Lithium - no growth. Gold - a rare bright spot. Iron ore - Simandou comes on line; majors keep their producing operations (as they are low opex); but would wind back growth capex hence job losses. and the entire junior iron ore sector would be wiped clean. So combination of job losses and royalties reduction.
Then you add to that the realisation that Green Hydrogen was a figment of twiggy's imagination; and exporting electricity through under sea cables is not feasible.
The governments "renewable energy superpower" strategy has been destroyed more than the Russian black sea fleet; its totally screwed.
Uranium won't be big enough to totally replace these losses, but it will be an all hands on deck approach - all sorts of different initiatives needed.
Expect they will provide further relaxation of gas export laws too.
