re: Ann: Windimurra Prepares to Export Vanadi... its not just about grade, its also about oxidation and orebody weathering. but yes, maybe they built the plant next to the wrong orebody ? recovery of vanadium bearing ore in CMB is the key and so far anyone who has played with windimurra has been burnt at CMB - crushing and grinding the ore away to tails.
ATI's dispute with MRL is about CMB being not-fit-for-purpose - but maybe its the ore which isn't worth a knob of goats when it comes to processing ?
xstrata couldn't make the place work and they had years of experience in south africa.
