Winmar begins tenement-wide AMT survey at Lomero Winmar Resources Ltd (Winmar) (ASX:WFE) is pleased to announce that it has begun a ground geophysical survey over the exploration tenement containing the Lomero gold-silver-copperzinc deposit (Lomero) in Andalucia, Spain. The geophysical method employed in the survey is Audio Magnetotellurics (AMT), which maps variations in subsurface resistivity. It does so by measuring the audio-frequency signals of electromagnetic fields associated with telluric currents within the subsurface. Zones of decreased resistivity (i.e., increased conductivity) may indicate the presence of a concealed metallic sulphide deposit. The survey will cover the entire area of the Lomero Investigation Permit and will take approximately one month to complete. The results will be used to identify drill targets and will assist the planning of the Year 2 work programme. Following completion of the AMT survey, Winmar will begin a down-hole electromagnetic (DHEM) survey of its six diamond drill holes. The two surveys cannot be undertaken concurrently, as the man-made currents used in the DHEM survey would interfere with the AMT survey. Further updates will follow as events unfold.
