Evans (and shareholders) got burnt at Mali Lithium in the last big lithium downturn, with a board revolt from historically catastrophic decision makers Alistair Cowden & Brendan Borg resulting in them losing billions of dollars in shareholder value chasing Morilla gold. It's not surprising Evans was in favour of a solid defensive raise to see them through the orphan period & price retreat currently on the cards.
