if you really want to delve into the issue that mtc had with the vendor of 14 out of the 400-odd total cancet claims (I believe they were important ones in relation to the exploration target location but not 100% certain) you can read through this thread though it’s mostly conjecture but it does give some details:

if you want to look into it further, the relevant claims were #2446315-2446328, granted 1/6/2016 which were acquired from Luke Schuss. the issue from memory was in relation to late payment of fees owing after the claims had already been acquired, which was potentially in breach of the agreement between the parties.

mtc were seriously lacking in disclosure of the dispute and whether there was any resolution so I’ve got no idea how it ended up. there was no mention of any dispute in the WR1 prospectus, and the relevant claims were listed as still being held by mtc and therefore part of the spin-out. If concerned you could contact wr1 management and see what they’ve got to say, i dare say they’ll be more forthcoming than the illustrious mgmt over at mtc. Agree with the comment that the mtc mgmts financial woes won’t impact on wr1.
