I was keen to see the Gascoyne TO go through. I was equally keen for it to happen WITHOUT the Firefly clause.
While I am disappointed that the deal has fallen over I am glad our board were astute enough to walk away. An old boss of mine used to say words to the effect "...the measure of a good decision maker in business is their ability to walk away from a deal that doesn't work for them."
Who knows, maybe there is still an opportunity to become a family in the future on our terms.
I feel sorry for the Gascoyne holders and their current position and would like us to flourish together down the track.
