So as of this morning our market cap is around USD25m, down from around 2 billion a few years back. Sorry to remind other long termers of that. I hate to think of it but if things go more pear shaped than they already are, what are the realistic market values of our assets? Surely they would have to be more than what we're valued at now, after all we were calling LNG9's bid at USD75m an absolute steal. At this point we have no debt, our accumulated tax losses would be worth tens of millions but to realise this, we would need to be bought by an Australian company. I would have thought that on its own would be fairly attractive. We have all the permits in place which alone cost tens of millions however that is probably irrelevant at this stage. In the last few days we've had about 10% of the share register change hands. Who would have bought all those? Retail punters buying up 50 odd million shares? I'm sure they were the ones selling, not so sure about who was buying though. I hope Possum's theory holds water and we see a substantial holder's notice show up soon. The current pandemic won't last forever and the world will still need a lot more gas. It would be nice to be a part of it but now I would just like to see us get reasonable value for our assets be that by t/o or the alternative that I fear the most.
