Did you actually read the proposed performance rights plan? It was ridiculous and was effectively granting free shares for milestones that are largely achieved. The plan had no correlation to increased share price and or revenue let alone profit. It is a huge concern that in withdrawing the plan the Chairman seems committed to reintroducing an alternative when perhaps the board should concentrate on advancing the actual project.
As to the MD's pay packet it seems already fine for a company of this size. Perhaps the board should read some of Warren Buffets long standing missives on executive remuneration .
As a shareholder I am looking for an exit if the board does not acknowledge its error. The best companies to invest in are when the MD does not want to be paid 2 or 3 ways for doing the one job.
