Well it made no sense to raise with such a question mark over the project when so much news was on the horizon. Although this announcement still leaves the situation muddy. Firstly they destroy the share price and then say they are cancelling because of the share price!

But then they say they will revisit a SPP after more info comes to light about Alpha - this makes more sense if there is positive news and they can get a better price.

But then they add the potential acquisition angle which makes you think Alpha is a dead duck and they need to spin a new story.

Or as Sahmee suggests, there is an off take partner or similar taking a percentage.

Really hopeless communicators and project managers.
