    Eggboy,

For large magmatic nickel sulphide deposits, go and have a read of this paper:

"The mineral system approach applied to magmatic Ni–Cu–PGE sulphide deposits".

And for the channel type Ni deposits, typically referred to as Komatiite nickel sulphide deposits, something like this might set the context for you:

"Review of lithogeochemical exploration tools for komatiite-hosted Ni-Cu-(PGE) deposits"

The large semi-spherical Dunite body at Mulga Tank is of the first type as an exploration target, and the channels emanating from this body to the NW are of the second style.

Interestingly, MTD006 had 4% Ni at a primary position(?), so this most likely demonstrates evidence of Ni mineralising process. These channels are analogous to the Komatiites in the Kambalda nickel province.

Although small in terms of exploration targets, if you hit massive nickel sulphide in these channels, they are viewed as the premier styles of Ni mineralisation. The two other NiS deposits of high grade worth studying are Black Swan and Cosmos, both in Western Australia in Archaean terrain.
