    You make a very good point. To calculate the “value” of a company like BRK is fairly straightforward as there are a number of methodologies to use. Google can help here. It can however be quite subjective.

    Not sure why the negative posters have not done this.

    One that I have used in the past is multiply BRK stated reserves (11 MBOE if I remember rightly) with a view of what 1 BOE in the ground is worth (I used US$15 per BOE but you can use any number).

    Divide that value by number of shares on issue then you get value per share and compare that to the current sp.

    Another way is to work out the value of 1 producing well after payback. I built a model to calculate the NPV per well but to keep it simple ppl can apply any value they choose - is 1 producing well (with 35 years of production) worth $1m or $15m for example. Multiply by 21 wells and divide by number of shares on issue.

    Like everything it is an estimate only but it will give investors an indication of whether the sp is cheap versus expensive.
