Whilst I am firmly in the positive camp unfortunately Mr Market isn’t. Yes, the majority are retail investors. The money end of town just aren’t investing in this sector... PC and all that BS...
Add into the mix DP’s chequered history and we are at an impasse until a sale is achieved to firm up the business model.
For me, this is going to take time, something that is precious with the move towards renewables... not that I believe for one minute oil and gas will become redundant anytime soon but investors will become fewer and fewer. Hence, I believe we will experience more SP pain over the Christmas/New Year period as investors revisit their portfolios and some just simply become impatient.....
We will need a sale and/or a solid December 31 quarterly to turn the tide.
