its not material because it can have a fairly significant margin of error depending on the user - which is why it isnt accepted for jorc
its used in the field for fast identification of targetting, accelerated assays and further drilling etc
but because of that its generally considered to be like rock chip samples - interesting without being authoritative and occassionally quite misleading - though rock chips are much more so
undervalued producers dont need to be burleying and generally get greater bang for buck holding their powder til the actual assays are returned
xrf hits dont tend to result in sustained sp re-rate for producers because their larger market cap is supported by investor focus on cashflow and nta backing, not individual drill hits not yet sure to be recoverable
its can be a counterindicator of weakness on production performance
