It's a hold for me for now. Thanks to strong Copper prices, the SP is currently treading water above $2.40. Technicals do not indicate an uptrend can be sustained (unless material news). Ample volume at $2 should subdue the SP under $2.50 for a while. Also, the lack of another named cornerstone holder has increased the risk of this stock significantly. I won't bother having additional capital stuck here, when there are other copper producers running actual mines which offer better exposure to Copper in the short term. DVP is 10 to 15 months from production and hopefully Copper prices hold till it happens.
A lot also depends on whether "strategic investor / recycle capital" is for reals or just more spin. It could happen this week or next week or next month or next year - who knows? Anyway, I won't be reading too much into the announcement, if it re-rates great, if not meh. At FID they still have a $20M milestone payment to make. Then there is also the uncertainty of production ramp-up - see G1A. I much rather invest when this gets funding sorted for real and when production hits steady state which could be end of 2025. Buying now is a punt but buying when it's less risky is investing.
