Their preferred development option for Scarborough and the nearby Thebe field, which combined contain at least eight trillion cubic feet of gas, is floating LNG.
However, the partners have not categorically ruled out the alternative option of piping the gas to either of the two Woodside Petroleum operated LNG plants on the Burrup Peninsula, North West Shelf or Pluto. Considered a significantly cheaper option than FLNG, it would however require fiscal agreement with the owners of one of the Burrup plants.
I'd say today's announcement makes that fiscal agreement much more likely.
