oil is up approximately 33% on the last half.
simplistically $1.40x1.33% equals a dividend of about $1.90
and that dividend estimate of (at least $1.90) assumes there is not any profit uplift due to the BHP merger - which there will be for a few reasons including the fact that BHP's asset portfolio is much more skewed to current oil prices than WPL's gas dominant portfolio.
Also the dividends will be fully franked so $1.90 is really $2.60 to most shareholders
