Yes, astute post. Some may quibble about the quantum, but WDS needs this unexpected and perhaps other future injection of funds, as several recently published broker research has found that the dividends (such as they are in ever declining mode since 2023) are in doubt in future years. WDS without dividends would result in a further serious sp decline, not much else going for it after all those foreign acquisitions.

Also note that from a media report posted by one member, the CEO is talking about the proceeds of this sale, whatever that means, perhaps much less than the headline figure, more transparency required or this transaction.
