Sorry, the depth is important for a few reasons. For processing these types of clay at current REE prices, digging 25m is probably not economical. Additionally, I fairly sure MEI have found leaching is not as successful beyond roughly this depth. @GKeden might correct me there.
I can't find any figures for leaching tests for Besima but someone posted a document a while back with non-room temp extraction. I guess the take away is there are no analogous results nearby to point to as an indicator that ph4@room temp will be successful.
Also clearly there is a CR following this announcement as I don't see any money left.
