yep, many pundits predicting a lithium rally in 2020, and many predicting the bottom is now.
we are perhaps seeing signs of a rally already.
Below is a table of some of China's biggest lithium companies and what their share price has done since 1st November, 2019:
Column 1 Column 2 Column 3 Column 4 Column 5 0 1/11/2019 10/01/2020 +/- ($) +/- (%) 1 Ganfeng 22.18 41.08 18.9 85.21% 2 CATL 69.33 113.31 43.98 63.44% 3 Tianqi 21.46 31.53 10.07 46.92% 4 Yahua 6.6 9.49 2.89 43.79% 5 Guangdong Weihua 7.06 9.11 2.05 29.04%
if we want, we can also add in Tesla which is up 53.63% since 1st November 2019.
It has been said that lithium co's on the asx generally follow the Chinese co's, however we are usually about 2-3 months behind.
So below is a table of asx lithium players and how they have performed thus far in the first 10 days of 2020:

The Co's in bold are the producers. It makes sense that the producers would be the first of the asx players to follow the Chinese, so i comes as no surprise that our producers are all at the top of the table, all enjoying gains of over 20% these last 10 days.
Of the 25 co's in this table, 19 of them (76%) have made gains, and just 4 of them (16%) have lost ground, overall a good sign.
The co's in red are co's whose performance i find baffling in comparison to their peers: I don't see why CXO (Australia's next lithium producer), LTR (Australia's biggest uncommitted Li resource which is about to get a whole lot better) and AVZ (the worlds biggest Li resource) haven't joined in the gains... Seems to me that these 3 co's have some catching up to do. And if our peers continue to perform well, it only makes sense that these 3 companies WILL catch up.
IMO
