    Of course you can put massive amounts of energy into extracting helium from water. It’s not even remotely economic even scaled up and what you end up with is the inert gas, helium which has no energy value itself, is valuable for it’s very inertness with specialised uses in medical equipment (and party balloons.)
    GHY have everything going for them as you suggest. The potential is there without doubt. But that potential is to discover freely flowing natural gases (hydrogen and helium.) Don’t be sucked in to believing they have any intention of pumping out water from wells and constructing some kind of electrolysis facility - apart from anything else, it wouldn't be too long before the well collapsed.
