They tend to lag when it comes to high growth names, which is an issue many traditional value investors have. Their valuation keeps lagging the actual share price. Some day, it may fall into their buy range, but how much upside have they given up in the meantime? That kind of approach has made little sense to me though the analysis can be useful in a qualitative sense still.
Of course, keep in mind that they can cut their valuation estimates just as easily!
