Yep - that "20% of loan book" figure surprised me as well, and I must say it was a very nice surprise
The WZR vehicle loan book $ and % figure has cranked up really quickly.
From what I can tell, new vehicle lending is steaming ahead again in Australia - with these numbers reported in a recent article that I read:
All time high - back in month of May 2016 - $1.355b
During COVID - new vehicle loans fell from $1.15b (month of Feb 2020) down to just $630m per month during 2020.
Last reported figure I could find was May 2021 - which was back up to $1.3b in that month.
And other media reports are suggesting vehicle lending in Australia has now just hit all time highs?
These stats really bode well for companies like WZR and MME, and would suggest we are in for a cracking quarterly 4C report.
The last WZR quarterly reported cash receipts of around $9.06m, cash outgoings of $9.93m, and with nett cash outgoings of $868K - and they reported WZR being cash flow positive in the month of June 2021.
In this 4C report, it would be really nice to see:
Cash receipts: $11m +
Cash outgoings just under $11m
so hoping WZR is slightly cash flow positive for the whole quarter.
As always, I am happy to be surprised to the upside!!
