As per the official announcement the majority of the "new" funds consumed purely to pay off the existing non interest bearing convertible notes and associated embedded fee's.
Very little left over for M&A which given the AU$150M odd blown on Waddle may not be a such bad thing.
Perhaps focus on "buying" (Corporate gobble_de_gook describes it as "investing in") access to bank feeds in the USA.
4,000 banks in that market.
