    From the A-F-R in 2021:

    "As one of the fastest-growing companies on the ASX, accounting software platform Xero is every day confronting the challenge of finding people to fill positions in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.The company added about 1000 full-time equivalent employees in the year to September 30. This was up 30 per cent on the previous year and included 225 people from two acquisitions – Planday and Tickstar."

    Of course Atlassian did they same - hiring "1032" jobs before finally laying people off. Was it a mistake? Is this just the signal markets are looking for?

    The main thing today is that it's no longer what size of layoffs are announced, but if it'll just be the first tranche. I hope it's just the one time cut, reconfigure, and then go back to growth while making cash.
