I recently had experience with a Xero connected App (Ezzybills) where I had a connection to an unlimited number of Xero ledgers, but as they had to pass on a share of the App revenue to XRO I could now only have access to 6 Xero ledgers unless I upgraded my App subscription.
Shortcomings in the Xero product can often be overcome with a connected App giving Xero a share of the App revenue without any additional cost. Over time this will provide a massive income stream with little cost. A substantial (hidden) asset.
