I'm not sure how you define a "dog". If the numbers this company has reported are true, it's a great company. Obviously, there is a lack of confidence among shareholders (current, potential and past) that the numbers really are true. This is probably because of some very bad experiences with Chinese companies.
But I don't see how the lack of confidence and "vicious spiral of negative sentiment" can have any bearing on the company's actual performance, assuming they are what they say they are. I'm talking about business performance, not share price "performance".
Also, what's the "cash problem" you're referring to?
