    An ASX listed company, Xped is a growing Adelaide based IoT business in an exciting phase of its growth and development. We are seeking an experienced backend software developer to join the team working on the development and maintenance of its backend web services.
    Xped provides the plumbing required to allow device manufacturers, retailers, and service providers to offer and end-to-end internet of things offering to their customers. A significant part of providing this offering is the continuous development of a range of decoupled backend web services to manage everything from device and gateway communication to user registration, management, device orchestration, and notifications.
    The successful candidate will have production experience with decoupled services using Node.js as a core technology. Integral to your success is experience designing and developing APIs, designing and implementing both SQL and object store databases, and a level of competency working with the Python programming language.
    The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Cloud Services and will work with touch points across a number of software teams. Quality of service is paramount to the delivery of Xped's services, and experience with modern unit and integration testing frameworks and practices, continuous integration, and critical thinking are highly desirable in this position.
    Experience with, or an understanding of AWS or other public cloud vendors, version control, C++ programming, simple distributed systems, and cross-platform development will be advantageous in this position.

    BOOKKEEPER / RECEPTION / ADMIN SUPPORT

    Located in Payneham with easy parking available, we are a growing organisation focussing on making technology easy again. Reporting to the CEO, you will be the first point of contact for the business, and support our team with a wide range of Administrative functions.
    Most importantly, you must be an experienced Bookkeeper, with end to end Accounts exposure. Experience using Xero will be an advantage.
    As we continue to grow, a new FULL TIME ongoing opportunity has been created to ensure our team can focus on the development of products with the support of a professional Office Allrounder. Initially you will report directly to the CEO.
    This includes all clerical duties relating to the management of the Accounts Payable & Receivable function including the input of information into the computer system, reconciliation of accounts, payments and liaison with suppliers, data entry for accounts receivable including invoicing customers, and receiving payments and following up on outstanding accounts (debtors). Completing weekly staff payroll will be a key responsibility within this role.
    Working from our front Reception desk, you will be first point of contact for all incoming communication within the business, be it face to face or over the phone. To make your role more interesting, you will also provide general office admin / support to the Management team. This is a position to make your 'own' and make a solid contribution to the success of the busness.
    The role requires someone with experience & competency in the following:
    • A strong understanding of Finance software, we use Xero.
    • Accounts Payable – end-to-end processing, reconciliation and payments.
    • Accounts Receivable – end-to-end processing, reconciliation and collections (Debtors follow up).
    • Reception - answering calls, taking messages, greeting 'walk ins'.
    • Weekly payroll for up to 30 staff.
    • Completing general statutory employment related payments.
    • A commitment to accuracy & attention to detail.
    • Preparation of financial documents in readiness for our Accountant.
    • Managing Petty Cash.
    • Ensure accounts payable and receivable records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures.
    • A genuine customer service focus with a can do attitude.
    • A courteous and professional manner is essential for this role.
    • As this is an Allrounder / Support role, undertake general office support functions such as filing, photocopying, and mail.
