A wise and wealthy person once told me that the one who first mentions a number while negotiating a deal, generally loses out on a potentially better deal. If one looks at the kind of numbers in similar recent takeovers - think potential of the technology - not market cap, SP, or value of current business - I would not like to be the one proposing a number if I were selling what xped has to offer.
