I don't see this as another cc payment system, there has to be a lot more to it.
xPED are not primarily in this space….as they develop new techs, not already proven techs 'redesigned'
Possibly there is some tie up between the TBA chip manufacturer and payments systems, but cannot see it at the moment.
of course maybe there are new smartphone designs on the drawing board that need the ability to control xPED enabled devices, and also eCoupon - in which case this is totally massive, as it means not only chip manufacturers, but commercial hardware makers.
would be a great clue if the term eCoupon became iCoupon with xPED mentioned in the same sentence…but only speculating.
The management of xPED have been pretty good at the moment with their announcements, so no doubt all will become clear…..
