This move by XPE is the right one.
However, I'm not overly excited about it; they have only joined an open membership industry standards body.
In fact they perhaps should have joined earlier!
Also, "Invited by Intel" sounds a little bit disingenuous to me. Only potential 'Diamond Members' need current Diamond membership approval.
