Just a teeny weeny correction...
(1.73-1.48)/1.48 = 17%
You may have double counted the one off other income. Government related grants are inputted into "other income".
So EBIT is probably closer to 1.985m. And the comparative growth would therefore amount to 33.9%

That's a fair chunk of inventory that's been put behind the labware business (another $0.5m of physical platinum was also bought in July 20).
