First, be very careful, assertions can see one in court. In court, one who assets must prove.
Second, the MD's salary is Nothing, NOTHING like $1million. My last reading it was Well Under Half that. He, like almost a majority of ASX company Board Members, receives 'performance shares'. They are what their name says - get the SP to x and you get performance shares. Until the SP gets to X, they are worth diddly squat. I have been around for a while, longer than most of you, and in my experience the majority of Performance Shares 'dust off'. Shares holders never say much about that, and I have never heard a poster on HC celebrate a single occurrence of such an event.
Now in the case of our MD, get some understanding of the dimensions he is dealing with:
Argentine has an approximate12 hours time difference. So, when the MD wants to chill the Argentinians want to talk. And, I assume it goes on for several hours. The MD has to deal with issues in Aussie time = he has an 18 hour day - he has to deal with ASX issue in Aussie time.
Next, the MD has to deal with Argentinian law and compliance and bureaucracy And Australian bureaucracy = ASX compliance etc.
He has two teams to manage, one in Aus' and one in Argentina.
And, if one can't see that as an issue, you are still living at home with your dimwitted parents and paying no rent.
