My apologies for a couple of spelling/typo errors.

I agree DavidW, we could speculate endlessly, or just wait until the company advises.
Tales from other sources, about other endeavours suggest that the bureaucracy and timelines for getting the various approvals over there are akin to those in Aus', perhaps sans sacred sites. However, working in another language and having to comply with ASX regs as well, may just mean a smaller programme will get going faster.

All that said, the announcement did say:
"The Company is taking a fast-track approach to the Project, intending to begin exploration drilling as soon as the VES results and drilling permits are in hand. Following completion of the ongoing Environmental Impact Report (EIR), drilling permit requests will be submitted for selected exploration well locations. The EIR was previously granted and the Company is seeking approval of the re-application." (emphasis mine)

Just more speculation on my part: perhaps the La Porto land was not covered in the previously granted EIR and hence the "fast-track approach" is parking that area to get things going and news flowing.
    Cheers
