yeah but their brokers havent considered the discount either, Glencore is keen on everything and they were the first to go back with "all good" when Grosvenor caught fire, everybody else followed the suite, the stockpile is still there its just few bits went up on fire, so it will game on, if Yancoal needs to win this they have to be competitive, yes I agree on the condition what Grosvenor will also dictate the negotiations..
Under stable conditions, assuming robust cash flow from operations and debt servicing with favorable financing (this is without Grosvenor for next couple of years in operation), Yancoal could expect to recoup its investment in 5 to 7 years with just new mines and deducting its operation cost. However, fluctuations in coal prices, operational performance, and economic conditions could extend or shorten this timeline, in the mining timelines this is very good prospect..
