I sold out of my remaining position in EVT back in August after holding for over a decade, probably in reaction to my annual ski trip to Thredbo being canned for the second season in a row!
I'm mystified that the shareprice still appears to be defying reality, closing in on the Dec 2015 all time highs of $16+, despite COVID slamming all their business divisions and the uncertain short term future. EVT FY 2016 results were close to all time peaks with revenues @ $7.82 cps, cashflows $1.31cps, earnings 78 cps & divis 51 cps. Latest forecast on Commsec for EVT 22FY is earnings of $0.009 cps, breakeven basically.... Scope for a takeover you ask? very tightly held by the Rydges clan with big cross holdings between EVT & CIN making that all but impossible.
I do like the company in the longer term and will keep an eye on the shareprice coming back to reality but at these prices it just don't make sense to me.
