And I do understand the need to hunt for a villain in the situation around Altura administration and takeover but the fact is AJM was broke. I think I remember it was not even operating as a going concern.
It was selling product cheaper than it cost to produce.
It had no money for repairs or improvements and I think it had been failing to even meet its’ interest payments on huge high interest loans without cash raisings since it was first granted that $15M [extension of funding ] back in September 2018.
Yes it had a good product but it was on its’ knees - like the horse, Ginger, in the book Black Beauty, because of the weight of debt it was dragging.
Ken was the obvious person to buy it out of administration.
