I have no opinion on VUL I wish you the best there. I’m sure if/when they prove that they can do what they say they can they will do well. In the meantime I expect VW to keep tabs on it but secure guaranteed supply elsewhere. They will be deep into R and D now for 2025 models, not like VUL can send over a few thousand tons to get working on now.
as for anti Chinese sentiment here, I’ve never seen it. My opinion is most people here realise that it’s not good to be too dependant on one market, you should know that from the AJM fiasco. Being forced to supply at terrible prices and as Alex Cheeseman confirmed only receiving 60% upfront when everyone else was doing 95%. Imagine if AJM were in SK, US or EU and could have said no to China, they probably wouldn’t have gone under. I don’t blame China for doing that, they were able to and look what it did to Ganfengs profits, they saw an opportunity to make money and took it. It’s not anti China to point out the obvious.
