The way I read that is that they have sent out a letter that passes an onus onto companies to be aware of what they should be aware of.And it is still the case that the ASX is the deciding factor as explained in the second sentence.
How the changes improve the time wait taken in approving and releasing anns. is a mystery to me as someone at ASX still has to read each application.
Even if they start on the pile with the ones marked 'market sensitive' they still need to check the ones that aren't marked 'market sensitive' and they are 'market sensitive' so as to correct the error.
Maybe a staffing problem with fact checking unit at the ASX ?
Whatever the reason it was not to advantage investors.Training the monkeys as they change the system?
