I would have thought we would be doing special packaging,foils stands promos and also online marketing to get as big a bang as possible and piggy back if it is a success?. Will our angry bird figurines have a lego base on them so they get a wider market?? That would be a killer!! Wonder if leaflet is going to drive to Yowie site or Angry birds site? There are so many ways these concessions are done it is impossible to know what the deal is and what obligations YOW have and what marketing support they will be provided with.

On May 15, 2013, Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that it had made a deal with Rovio Entertainment to distribute their CG-animated feature film of their video game franchise Angry Birds. The film was scheduled to be released on July 1, 2016,^[20] but in December 2014, it was moved up to May 20, 2016.^[21] On September 23, 2015, the teaser trailer for the film was released onto YouTube,^[22] and was shown two days later in theatres for screenings of Hotel Transylvania 2. Four months later, the official theatrical trailer for the film was again released onto YouTube^[23] and was shown in theatres for screenings of Kung Fu Panda 3. A showing of the second trailer for theatres in Finland and cinemas in the UK will be included in screenings of Kung Fu Panda 3 and Disney's Zootropolis this Easter.^[24]
Promotion

To help with the film's promotion, Rovio made a deal with The Lego Group to make a series of 6 Lego sets and Lego Dimensions expansion packs, scheduled for a spring 2016 release.^[25][26] A balloon themed after Red debuted at the 2015 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to promote the film.^[27]
