Ann: YVW Notice to Proceed for the $53M Bioenergy Project, page-23

The YVW news is obviously good. Had I read this 18 months ago I would have been delighted.

I note the contracted amount is now $53m compared with $47m (from memory) previously. DEL confirms the project is proceeding. Very positive. I like how the contract amount seems to have increased . Although the timeframe is now "late 2023" before construction begins.

Too often, dates are announced, deadlines pass, then it's pushed back another six months. Late '23 becomes early '24. They've been doing it for 2 years. Of course, I'm looking from the glass half empty perspective.

As others have pointed out (from memory), legislation still needed to be passed and approvals sought, which typically involved long delays. I don't understand how, knowing this to be the case, February's announcement anticipated a start to construction by 30th June. Surely that was never going to be the case.

I too have checked LinkedIn and note the number of employees at DEL has not changed. A positive.

There is still the issue of $3-4m needed. I have no clue how that gets resolved. Or who provides that 'injection of funding '. Unless the YVW news is used as the basis for a cap raise. I'll be interested to see how it plays out.
