No oil in the upper part of the Ophiolites and drilling had been tough going. Given the "hardness" of the rock - indicative of massive, unjointed, crystalline rock - the ophiolite may be forming a capping/sealing rock at this location - and oil may be sitting at the base/underneath, where you expect to have more discontinuities/irregular matrix ("ophiolitic conglomerate") that may house oil/gas. Lets see if theres anything at the basal contact of the ophiolites - which for me is a more likely occurence. If theres nothing there...then we always have the Primary Target ZAPATO - all 1,000m of it - from 2600-3600. These numbers are so large, they defy comprehension. Im stocking up on the popcorn.
