I did not read it the same way you did.
He is just expressing his view on the possibility of a negative outcome (possible?) for Zapato and his trading strategy.
Averaging down is a positive statement as he believes in the resources we have confirmed at Alameda as fact, and the ability for Melbana to produce in the near future.
