this article will tell you about our competitor Aggreko

I have not compared the numbers, but..... at Nova, IGO say 'our solar power is the same power costs 'as if' we paid 65 cents a litre for diesel'; I dont know what bulk diesel is priced at, but 'normal' diesel is 1.49 a litre. So, we can see the cost of power to IGO falls 43% (replacing diesel MW with solar)... 1.49 to 65 cents.
now in the article for RSG, it says Syama will reduce power costs by 40%
also in the article it refers to Aggreko doing a plant in WA (Goldfields Granny Smith); I need to research that a bit
a few points
1) comparing Africa to WA may be not great, but if Zenith reduce power costs by 43% compared to 40%, then Zenith wins; for diesel apple to apples I need to look at Mali diesl price which is $1.56 AUD a litre; so saving 43% on 1.49 (Zenith) is more impressive than saving 40% on 1.56 (Aggreko)
2) I need to read this next article closely - Granny Smith is on natural gas so I dont know why they would solar (gas much cheaper then diesel)
https://www.pv-magazine-australia.com/2018/06/28/was-granny-smith-mine-adds-solar-storage-under-as-a-service-model/
3) the article in 2) has some quoted percent saving numbers; but I cant, at first glance line them up with the Zenith IGO savings
Now if I am a remote Aussie miner I think I will contact Zenith and Aggreko for a quote. And is EDL the other vendor I would contact?
4) Agrekko was already the vendor at Granny Smith, so it makes sense for them to 'win' that solar/battery expansion
5) it will be soooooooooooo interesting to see who starts picking up market share
Obviously it is important for us to know if our competitor is doing a better job (or not) than us in providing carbon free power.
6) I guess we have the runs on the board as we are up and running, and the two Aggreko projects are not complete
7) is our IP really that wonderful, Hamish says we dont need battery to give smooth power supply with the IP they use
8) given power costs for remote / microgrids has fallen / IS falling / will continue to fall.... that market should expand so fast!
9) note how Aggreko is 'modular' and Zenith does bespoke
10) we will only know who is 'in the market lead' by seeing actual PPAs that are won or lost
Merry Christmas to all !!!!!!
