The EU is like a comedy sideshow without rival, except perhaps the increasingly doddering & demented US. The European Parliament last week voted on the one hand to support what is effectively a ban on the sale of cars with combustion engines by 2035, and on the other hand has bright sparks in the policy unit now floating the idea of reclassifying Li to make it even harder to meet their earlier goal. It’s almost like they want more economies to do a brexit - or the policy unit has been infiltrated by unhappy combustion engine automakers trying to fry-up a red herring.
