'IMO there's no way that the carve-up of 13359 and the selloff of the northern zone to Zijin has been done without the full awareness and tick of approval from the DRC government - definitely including the MoM, and very likely including FT.

We've likely won no friends with our approach, and thinking that FT is suddenly now going to come in now on our side is bonkers."

Well, I agree that could well be the case Roon, however, either way, the time is now and we can no longer keep picking fluff from our belly button, tip-toeing about walking on eggshells, being concerned about whose feelings we may hurt when we have followed the process as subscribed by the DRC mining code from pillar to post and coped the appalling behaviour of some dodgy ministers and other selfish greedy trouble makers that have decided to throw their rule book out the window, so that they can garnish some special entitlements that they feel they have earned the right too and that it will go unnoticed by all and sundry as it has in the past.

Not only do I feel this blatant corrupt behaviour has caused untold damage to our brand but it has also now delayed the project by almost 2 yrs and as a consequence, AVZ may struggle to ever fully recover the losses caused by this corruption at such a critical time, even if the ML is finally issued look at the massive revenue lost to the innocent people of the DRC, due to this endless greed and corruption, not to mention the lost opportunities that so many of the DRC citizens are in dire need of during these extremely challenging and trying times.

If China succeeds in stealing this project with this blatant corruption for all to see that is rightfully owned by AVZ, what opportunities will eventually be given to the good folk of the DRC, not much would be my estimate, China will bring in many of their own workers and supervisors and managers and simply use the locals for the lesser jobs and not develop those individuals into more senior and higher paying roles as they are known for all over Africa including the DRC.

No, this IMO is the last chance for Felix to stand up and look after his people who are looking to him for leadership and guidance, to break the shackles that the Chinese have inflicted on his people for so long now with atrocious working conditions. Enough is enough, time to stop feeding the corrupt officials and raise the standard of living for all the locals in Manono, and let this be a beacon or a model for the rest of the DRC that Felix and his people can be proud of well into the future for all to follow.

SY, Your time is now Mr President!!!!!! good luck to the good people of the DRC, I sincerely wish you all well and hope your government is ready to make the big changes necessary for you and your families to have better lives.
